Paros has unlocked my trips to the Cyclades islands of Greece. Paros is among the sublime Greek islands located in the central Aegean Sea. It lies to the west of Naxos. There is nothing that thrills me like an excursion in a new place, and especially when I had thought about it in the past.

Visiting this place changed my mind a lot. I thought that I’ve seen the magical part of Greece, not yet. I still have a long way to go. Located in the center of most famous Cyclades island such as Mykonos, Santorini, and Naxos, Paros Greece offers the perfect chance for island hopping!

I spent a fantastic weekend with my girls in this glorious place. it wasn’t planned but hey if you have crazy friends, you should be ready for any surprise. I was in Parikia and Naoussa only, I didn’t have enough time to see the rest of the island, but I got the best out of it nonetheless. My last visit was the Island of Agistri, check it out you will love it too.

WHAT TO DO IN PAROS FOR A WEEKEND.

  1. Island Hopping.

Being in the most accessible location for most celebrities famous destination, you win a chance to see Mykonos, Santorini, and Naxos. Don’t forget the Antiparos.

2. City Tour.

You might want to hire a car for this. Paros is a big island and with astounding landscapes, you really don’t want to miss. There are buses but it’s not as flexible as such. There are a lot of places to hire a car just outside the port. You can get a taxi, which I wouldn’t recommend, especially when traveling on a budget. Paros has 3 main towns:

Parikia

Parikia is the capital and main port of Paros. It has been for many years one of the most popular places in the Cyclades.
The popularity of Parikia is probably due to the fact that it offers something for everyone. From Parikia, you can reach very well all the spots on the island by bus or you can visit the neighboring island Antiparos with small boats.

Naoussa.

This is where we had our hotel. It is the second-largest city on the island. Located 10 kilometers away from the capital Parikia and easily accessible by bus.
The village itself has beautiful small streets and squares where you find good restaurants and shops. Most of the rooms and hotels are more on the outskirts and in the vicinity of Naoussa.

Piso Livadi.

A small seaport in the east of the island of Paros, which has developed to a popular holiday destination. In Pisso Livadi you’ll find several restaurants, bars, hotels, and rooms. Due to the proximity to the beautiful beaches in the east of Paros, Pisso Livadi is suitable as a good starting point.
In the port of Pisso Livadi are day trips by boat offered to the beaches in Naxos.

3. Beach visit.

This place has a lot of beaches to visit, more than I can share with you. I will only name a few that I found to the best.

Pounda Beach.

Pounda Beach is one of the most famous and most crowded beaches of Paros, just like Paradise Beach in Mykonos. Most of the visitors are going to Pounda for its various beach facilities and for its loud music and endless parties.

Molos Beach

If you want some privacy, then go to Molos beach. The bеach lies in а large сavе with twо high hills frοm both sides and length оf mοrе thаn 1 km. Nearby is thе Monаsterу оf Agiοs Аntioniоs which has panοrаmiс view of Моlοs and thе entire coast аrоund.

Livadia Beach

Livаdiа is thе mаin bеасh оf Pаriκiа, lосаtеd in thе sаmе gulf аnd аt а distаnсе οf lеss thаn 1 кm frоm thе pοrt. It is sandy with shallow waters.

Livadia Beach

Logaras Beach

Located in the south of Paros Greece, 20 km away from the island’s capital, Parikia. This long sandy beach surrounded by bars and hotels is worth your bikini.

Chrissi Akti Beach.

Those who do not love windsurfing should avoid coming to this beach when it is windy.

Ambelas Beach.

Ambelas is a popular beach among the locals, located in the quiet homonym village

Piperi Beach.

This is Naoussa’s most well-liked beach and it is just about 50 meters walk from the main road leading to the center of the town and about 250 meters from Naoussa’s main fishing port.

4. Sightseeing.

You can’t leave this amazing place without learning about its rich history. Please make sure you add Archeological Museum of Paros, Museum of Cycladic Folklore and Moraitis Winery, to your “must-see list”. I have a vlog about the city of Paros and for more just subscribe to my channel.
